Sharon Wooderson, 56, passed away at her Olathe home on February 9, 2013.
Sharon was born on January 11, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Major Eldon D. and Shirley F. Maudlin.
She graduated from Albany High School in 1975 and married Blaise M. Wooderson on June 7, 1981.
Sharon was a homemaker and dedicated mother. She received a kidney transplant in 1985. She returned to school to earn her Associate's Degree at Johnson County Community College in 1992.
Throughout her life, Sharon dedicated much of her time to children, as a daycare provider, serving as a Sabbath School teacher, and caring for her three grandchildren.
Sharon was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, her family, and friends and she also enjoyed plants, birds, and her two Italian greyhounds.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Blaise Wooderson; her mother, Shirley Maudlin; her brother, Gary Maudlin and his spouse; her sister, Linda Williams and her spouse; her daughter, Stephanie Steger and her spouse; and her three grandchildren. She survives four nephews and one great-niece and is preceded in death by her father, Maj. Eldon Maudlin.
