Sharon Grimsley

Sharon A. (Broshears) Grimsley was born at Fort Campbell, KY on March 28, 1959 and passed away June 17, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Sharon retired from a 21 year career at Household Finance and pursued a life long dream of becoming a nurse. After acceptance to nursing school, she was near completion of her degree and working part time at Olathe Medical Center ER when she was diagnosed with cancer. Sharon was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife and mother who loved life. She lived for her family and friends and was a devoted homemaker. Her smile and optimism will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband Tim and twins Erin and Tommy of Olathe, KS, a son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Vanessa Yount of Greenwood, MO, and a daughter Courtney Yount of Lee's Summit, MO; parents Mack and Ann Broshears of Springfield, NE; Brothers Rick and wife Wanda of North Platte, NE; Mike and wife Gaye of Allen, TX; Greg and wife Debbie of Bennington, NE; Father and Mother-in-law, Stan and Beverly Grimsley of Adrian, MO; Sister-in-law and husband Annette and Jay Dailey of Odessa, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to KC Hospice House for their loving care.

Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, an organization to which Sharon and family are actively involved.
