Shari G. Brown, 82, of Overland Park, passed away on Friday, Sept. 12.
Born August 6, 1932 in St. Louis, Shari was a vivacious, spirited lady that never met a stranger. It was in St. Louis that she met her husband, Clifford E. Brown, as he was stationed there for the Air Force.
Shari is preceded in death by her son Mark S. Brown. In addition to her husband, Cliff, she is survived by her daughter Cara J. Rusnak, her son Jay C. Brown, her five grandchildren Shari Y. Nooteboom (Jason), Mark E. Brown, Henry A. Brown, Haley A. Moore (Kurtis) and Jake K. Rusnak. Shari was GiGi to her three great-grandchildren Marley, Ian and Lily (expected in October), who all knew her as "not a cookie baking grandma."
Her admiring family will be holding a private party in her honor as she requested a joyous event rather than somber. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for Kansas City Hospice at 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy, Ste 200, Kansas City, MO 64114, where she donated her time.
