Shannon Leavell

Shannon Nichole Leavell, age 30 of Acworth, GA passed away March 4, 2015. She was born in Kansas City, MO, later moving to Olathe, KS where she lived until moving to GA in 1999. While in KS, she attended & graduated Prince of Peace Catholic School and went on to St. Thomas Aquinas for her freshman year of high school. She attended Kennesaw Mountain High School (Kennesaw, GA) starting her sophomore year and graduated in 2002. While at KMHS, she loved and was involved in performing arts, crowned the Prom Queen in 2002 and a member of the Home Coming Court in 2001. She attended Valdosta State College and also Georgia Highlands College and was a server at Fish Thyme in Acworth.

Shannon is survived by her parents, Michelle and Gary Joines; sisters, Megan Delia Leavell and Alex Joines Williams; brother, Wes Joines; maternal grandmother, Margaret Mesedahl; maternal grandfather, Joseph Pryor; and many other relatives and family members from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Georgia and Tennessee.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe.
