Sean Nicholson

Sean Nicholson, 27, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on September 29, 2016.

Sean was born October 19, 1988, to John and Julie Nicholson in Kansas City, Missouri. Sean was a 2007 graduate of Olathe South High School and attended Johnson County Community College.

Sean worked at Whole Foods and Borders Bookstore, where most of his paycheck went back to the store from buying so many books. Sean loved to read, and dabbled in writing. Sean loved and adored his son, Alexander, with his birth being the happiest day of his life. Sean loved the many animals that were part of his family. Sean will be remembered as a humorous gentle giant with an ornery streak when he played practical jokes on his family and friends, and his beautiful smile will always be burned into the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Sean is preceded in death by his Nana, Delores Nicholson; grandfather, Kenneth Teeples, and fiancé Alyssa Renken.

Sean is survived by his son, Alexander Nicholson; parents, John and Julie Nicholson; half brothers, John (Jay) Nicholson and Tracy Nicholson; and grandmother, Dolores Teeples.

In memory of Sean, donations may be made for his beloved son Alexander Nicholson to Children's Mercy Hospital – Epilepsy Research, Department of Philanthropy, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO, 64108. The family would like to thank everyone at Children's Mercy Hospital for their dedication in taking care of Alexander, and for the support they are providing the family during this difficult time.

A celebration of his life will occur on November 5, 2016 with visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and the memorial service at 2:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062.
