Scott Lawrence McIntosh, 58, of Olathe, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 as he returned from a camping trip with friends. He was born on May 10, 1964 in Wakeeney, Kansas to Warren and Sharlot (Roberts) McIntosh.
Scott grew up in McDonald, Kansas, and graduated from Cheylin High School in Bird City, Kansas, in 1982.
Although Scott graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in radio and television, he gravitated to sales. He began his career as a business security systems integrator in 1992 and built a successful career in the Kansas City metro area. Scott's lifeblood both at work and in his personal life was his relationships and he fostered all with enthusiasm and care. Scott was able to make every friend and acquaintance feel seen, heard, and valued. The number of people who have been touched by his generous sense of humor and zest for life is immeasurable. His absence from this world will truly be felt in his family, his community, his church and many circles beyond as the news of his passing is shared by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his brother Russell McIntosh.
Scott is survived by his wife of 25 years Jamie McIntosh, children Logan, Shane, Denham, and Quincy, parents Warren and Sharlot McIntosh of Panama City, FL, brother Steven McIntosh (Christina) of Ponte Vedra, FL, and Sister Shelby Loe (Steven) of Oriental, NC, many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and extended family.
The family will receive guests for a visitation at Kaw Prairie Community Church in Lenexa, Kansas on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be at Kaw Prairie Community Church in Lenexa on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11 am.
