Sarah DeAnn Weber, daughter of Gerald and Nadine (Nowlin) Pauley, was born in Milan, Missouri on March 7, 1960 and passed away on January 5, 2007 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 46.
Sarah was raised in Newtown, Missouri and graduated from Newtown-Harris High School in 1978. After graduation, she attended Missouri Western State University and then Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1982.
After college, Sarah and her son, Nicholas Blake Pauley, moved to Holyrood, Kansas to be near her parents. While in Holyrood, Sarah worked at the Bank of Holyrood and was promoted to Vice President and Cashier in charge of the Bank's Operations. While in Holyrood, Sarah also met and fell in love with Timothy L. Weber of Holyrood, Kansas and they were united in marriage on August 1, 1987. Later that year, Sarah, Tim and Nick moved to Olathe, Kansas where Sarah continued to reside for the rest of her life. While in Olathe, Sarah served as vice president and branch manager of several banks. In order to spend more time with her family, Sarah changed career paths and began working for Sprint in 1996 in Lenexa, Kansas.
Sarah was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church in Newtown, Missouri where she received several awards for perfect Sunday School attendance. Later, Sarah became a member of the Grace Methodist Church in Olathe, Kansas. Sarah was elected Worthy Adviser of the Newtown Auxiliary of Rainbow for Girls where she learned the importance of service which practice she continued throughout her life.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Timothy L. Weber, of Olathe, Kansas; her two sons, Nicholas Blake Pauley (and Athena) of Merriam, Kansas and Timothy Sean Weber of Olathe, Kansas; her grandson, Ryan L. Bandy of Merriam, Kansas; her parents, Gerald and Nadine Pauley of Holyrood, Kansas; her father and mother-in-law, William and Lois Weber of Holyrood, Kansas; her sisters, Karen Pauley of Sarasota, Florida, Carol Norris of Unionville, Missouri and Christina Oliver of Mons, Belgium; her brother Gary Pauley of Holyrood, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her beloved beagle, Cosmo.
Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a caring daughter, sister and aunt. Her most cherished times were with her family and she was constantly preparing her sons for life's challenges. Sarah enjoyed camping, biking, playing cards and attending Chiefs games with her family. Also, Sarah loved to travel, read, shop and eat her husband's cooking. While her quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all of us who knew her and loved her, it will surely bring a smile to those who have passed before us.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 N. Ridgeview, Olathe, KS. The family suggests remembrances to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64145, or to the church.
