Samuel Edwin Weeks, 17, of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Childrens Mercy Hospital. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday April 24 at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. Burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Children's Mercy Cancer Center or Duck's Unlimited.
Sam was an avid outdoorsman who lived life to the fullest. He was a survivor and a fighter whose inspiration will continue in all that knew him. Sam loved with all he had.
He is survived by his parents Mark and Sherri Weeks of the home, one brother Dan Weeks also of the home. Maternal Grandparents Donna and Al Harvel of Olathe, KS, Paternal Grandfather Orval E. Weeks of Great Bend, KS. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
