Ryan Alexander Toner, 35, of Overland Park, KS passed away on May 17, 2020. He was born on February 13, 1985 to Michael Toner and Karen (Gray) Esklund in Shawnee Mission, KS. Ryan grew up in Overland Park and graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School. He attended college at BYU Idaho and Pittsburg State in Kansas. He served in the Marine Corps where he completed Air Traffic Controller training in Pensacola, FL. and was stationed in Cherry Point, NC.
He is survived by his daughter Layla JoAnne Toner, parents Michael (Holly) Toner and Karen (Robert) Esklund, four brothers: Michael Murl Toner, Shane Westin (Mary Ruldolph) Toner, Ross Mason (Natalie) Toner, Connor Neal (Julia) Toner; step-sister Katie Esklund, his grandparents Don and Marlene Toner and Gene Gray, niece Skylar Toner and nephew Mason Toner. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Harriet Gray, his cousin Jacob Ellis and, most recently, his sister Ashley.
Ryan loved his family very much and more than anything loved to spend time with his beloved daughter Layla and her mother, Mallory Colegrove. He was always extremely close to and very involved with each of his brothers and sister. He had a contagious smile and a vivacious sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
