RYAN RICHMOND RADER
Age 60, passed away June 16, 2008 in Kansas City, MO after a courageous battle with cancer. The family suggests memorials to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145 or the American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch Rd., Suite 100, Merriam, KS 66204.
Ryan was born November 5, 1947 in Beloit, Kansas to Roy and Frances Rader, and was raised in Oakley, KS. Upon graduation from Kansas State University in 1970 with a degree in Architecture, he began his 38 year career with Black and Veatch as an architect. In addition, he was active as President of the Quivira Falls Community Association in Overland Park, KS. Over the past 28 years, Ryan made many improvements for the residents of their community,and he was well-respected for his dedication and service. He was also active in the Overland Park Jaycees for many years, participating in the Haunted House, Fourth of July, and other community activities.
He is survived by his brothers, Galen ( Betty) Rader of Lenexa, KS, and Haven (Donna) Rader of Woodward, OK, his companion Evelyn Sailor of Prairie Village, KS, four nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents.
