On Sunday, July 28th, Ryan David Applebaugh's strength was renewed. He is now soaring on wings like eagles.
Born October 24, 1983, in Overland Park, KS, our peaceful, perfect, beautiful son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle was the defining force of our lives for almost thirty years. Ryan was a coach of compassion and caring. He was the absolute teacher of tenacity and tenderness who inspired us all to be who we are today.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Brad and Cindy, sister Lindsay and nephew Ethan, sister Kelsey; Grandparents Virginia and David McIntyre, Sid and Arman Goffoy and Dale Applebaugh; Aunts and Uncles, Susie and Kent Friedeman, Jill and Mark McIntyre, Mike Sykes and Roy Fiedler, Diane Sykes, Steve Sykes, Sue Ann Sykes; Cousins, Mitchell, Aleta, Reed, Molly, Kristina, Taylor, Lauren and Megan.
Ryan was preceded in death by his Grandpa Bob Applebaugh and Uncle Pat Sykes.
Ryan and his family thank the countless care providers, teachers, doctors, therapists, friends at Dreams Work, Matthew's Ministry, Church of the Resurrection and family friends who have supported, loved and cared for us. All will miss his smile, blue eyes and back rubs.
