Ruth G. (Facklam) Clark passed away peacefully on the morning of June 15, 2022 at the age of 96 at the Olathe Hospice House.
Ruth was born July 7, 1925 in Marion, Kansas to Arthur E. and Margaret Facklam. She grew up in the Stotesbury, MO and Fulton, KS area graduating high school there. She married James Russell Clark of Fulton on July 7, 1945 (her 20th birthday) in Fort Scott, KS. They started out their married life in the Fulton area, then lived in various east Kansas towns before moving to Darien, IL (Chicago suburb), then moving back to Topeka, and finally Olathe Kansas.
She was the last surviving of her family and was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her parents, five brothers and their wives: Orville (Alice), Roy (Ruth), Dale (Leola), John (Bernadine), and Lawrence, two sisters, Vera (Earl Dody), Isla (Jim Taylor Radford) and her son-in-law Ray Pope.
Ruth and Russell and all her siblings each celebrated more than 50 years of marriage.
Ruth is survived by her children: Carol (Ray Pope, deceased), Ed Clark (Toni), Marsha Clark; five grandchildren: Carrie, Shelli, Russell, Larry and Adam; three step-grandchildren: Joshua, Cody and Danielle, fourteen great grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
She enjoyed collecting dolls, with the help of her husband, and working jigsaw puzzles. She was known for her love of family, optimism, and ability to always see the good in people, as well as for her mischievous sense of humor and general onriness.
