Ruby Else

Ruby Ilene Else, of Ottawa, KS, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6 at 3:30pm, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe, KS. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30pm in the chapel of the funeral home.

Ruby was born on May 14, 1932 in University Park, Iowa to Clifford and Lena Rexroth. She was an active member of Ottawa Church of the Nazarene, and worked in food service for many years serving both church and school organizations.
She is survived by her children, Corinne Oldfield of Olathe, KS, Linda Else of Olathe, KS, Norman Else (wife Diana) of Mt. Home, Idaho, Pamela Janes (husband Ron) of Olathe, KS, Brian Else (wife Cheryl) of Pomona, KS and Rachele Williams (husband Jon) of Excelsior Springs, MO, her brothers Ivan and Steve Rexroth, her eight grandchildren; William Janes, Matthew Janes, Ashley Oldfield, Ian Else, Elora Else, Jonathan Williams, Jr., Mary Grace Williams, and Ethan Williams, two step-grandchildren; Tina-Marie Novak and Pam Steffen, and two great-grandchildren: Marin Janes and Damien Hauer, and two step-great-grand children; Aaron Zellner and Miranda Zellner. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence D. Else and her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kansas City Rescue Mission.
