Roy "Gordon" Moore

Roy "Gordon" Moore born Dec.18, 1934 in Escanaba MI, graduated from Manistique, MI High School in 1953. He then went on to graduate Michigan Technological University in 1957 to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer. He wed Marlene Moore in 1956 and they enjoyed 51 years together. During his career he worked for four major chemical companies in various engineering and managerial positions in multiple states, including assisting in three large chemical plant start-ups. Gordon enjoyed attending the Stanley Presbyterian Church and collecting lanterns until his move to the Brookdale Senior Living facility in Shawnee, KS in September of 2013. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife in 2017. Gordon is survived by son Erin Moore (Kathy Moore), grandchildren Jessica Steppe (Dustin Steppe) and Ryan Moore, and great grandchildren Sloane Steppe and Presley Steppe.
