Ronald Jones

Ronald L. "Ron" Jones, died August 2, 2016 at Olathe Medical Center.

Ron was born November 6, 1950 in Dalton, NE to Dorothy N. Jones and Charles E. Jones Sr.

He grew up in Brookfield, Missouri where he was raised by his grandmother Goldie Patton and Grandfather Roy Patton. Ron attended Brookfield High School where he was a natural athlete and excelled in football, baseball, and track. High school is also where he met Diane Hurd. The two began dating and were soon engaged. After high school, Ron and Diane moved to Kansas City and were married in 1969.

From this union, two sons were born, Spencer Jones and Ronnie Christopher Jones.
He loved his sons and family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them.
He was a very private person, but even when faced with life's challenges he was always willing to share what he had with family and friends.

Ron obtained a certification in electronics at the Electronic Institute in Kansas. Shortly after, he began working at Wilcox Electric in Kansas City, MO where he worked for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister Rosa L. Johnson.
Surviving family include his wife, Diane, his sons Spencer and Ronnie Christopher, brothers Charlie, Wendell, Harold and Alfred, and many relatives and friends.
Ron's wishes were for cremation.
Graveside services will be at a later date.
He will be remembered with love and missed by all of his family and friends.
