Ronald Edward Gardner, 80, of Olathe, passed away on September 30, 2021 at Aberdeen Village.

He was born on February 28, 1941 to Charles and Elinor (Miller) Gardner in Gilroy, CA.

On June 3, 1962 , he married Elizabeth Ann Gardner (Estes), and they made their home in Olathe, Kansas for the last 40 years.

Ron worked as a Teacher and Football Coach at Shawnee Mission East HS, Concordia HS, Olathe South HS, Ottawa University and Baker University.

He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and was active in several Coaching Associations and Kansas Association for Retired School Personnel.

He enjoyed coaching football, fly-fishing, carpentry, watching his grandchildren play sports, and spending time with family.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Ann" , and children Mindy Roberts, Mark Gardner, and Mike Gardner, grandchildren Ben and Brooks Gardner, Miranda and Sophie Gardner, Lauren and Lanie Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
