click here.Ronald Frampton, 78, of Olathe, passed away on May 10th, 2024 at the Olathe Hospice House.
He was born on April 6, 1946 to Leslie and Hazel (Stephenson) Frampton in Maryville, MO.
Ron was drafted to the Army during the Vietnam War where he served with the 552nd Military Police.
Over the years, Ron spent most of his career working for the telephone company. He started climbing telephone poles and retired as a supervisor for Sprint. In Ron's retirement years he spent his time doing carpentry work, wood carving, and telling stories to make his friends and family laugh.
On October 9th, 1982 he married his beloved wife of 42 years, Marilyn Frampton. Ron and Marilyn lived in Olathe, Kansas for most of those years. They enjoyed riding around in his corvette, hosting neighborhood cookouts, and spending time with family and friends.
Ron is survived by his loving Wife, Marilyn, daughter Paula (Scott) White, son Mark Frampton (Tiffaney Bass), daughter Meghan (Dalton) Muntz, and beloved dog Gracie. Grandchildren include Allison McKinney, Courtney Totty, Cody White, Debbie White, TJ White, Alexis Matlock, Daniel Frampton, Bradley Frampton, Beckett Muntz, Kamden Muntz, and 7 great grandchildren. Ron is also survived by 3 siblings; Paul Frampton, Lavera Howard, Laverne Frampton, and sister-in-law Al Frampton. He leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Hazel Frampton, twin brother Donald Frampton, sister Shirley Cockayne.
Visitation will be held 9 am Saturday May 18th, at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Olathe, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday May 18th, at 10am, with Robert Alan Paul, officiating and special words by 552nd Military Police Company Commander Dave Kennedy.
The family encourages everyone to wear red, white, and blue to the services.
