Robin Ann Hilbert, 60, passed away on February 22, 2025 at Olathe Hospice House.
Robin was born on January 17, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas to George and Marilyn Magenheimer, and faced many health struggles and other challenges throughout her life. However, Robin was strong-willed and determined and brave even as a young girl. Such qualities served her well throughout life, especially as she was trying to get on the liver/kidney transplant list.
Despite these obstacles, Robin graduated from the School for the Deaf in Olathe, was a staff member at the Taco Bell in Olathe, where she even enjoyed working the order window, got married, moved across the country living in Colorado and California, and raised two children mostly on her own. Robin always enjoyed playing games, such as bingo and cribbage, doing craft projects, going out to eat with friends, and playing bingo or darts at the Deaf Club of Olathe.
Robin is survived by her parents, George and Marilyn Magenheimer; two sisters, Lynn Magenheimer and Brenda Magenheimer (Robin Maser); two children, Robert Jr (Pharlin Johnson, fiance) and Rachel; and three grandchildren, Emaily, Xander and Evelyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Deaf International Community Church, www.deafinternational/org/donate, the Museum of Deaf History, Arts and Culture www.museumofdeaf.org/give, or the PKD Foundation pkdcure.org.
