Robert Stone

Robert S. Stone, 92, of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday August 14, 2011 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kansas Angus Assoc. or the Johnson County Fair Assoc.
Bob was born November 14, 1918 in Ridgeway, MO to Robert Dean and Opal Stone. He was a long time Johnson County resident having moved to the Olathe area shortly after WWII. After managing Black Post Ranch east of Olathe for many years, he moved his young family to Spring Hill, KS in 1956. In addition to his own cattle and farming operation, he worked for General Motors at the Olathe Delco Remy Battery Plant until his retirement in 1975.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margaret H. Stone, of the Cedar Lake Village Retirement Community, Olathe; children Jim Stone and John Stone of Oalthe, Jane Creviston of Rosendale, MO, and Judy Hostetter of King City, CA, grandchildren Sara (and Arn) Eccles, Gardner, KS, Katy (and Jon) Leahey, Bend, OR, D'Arcy (and Joe) Stone, Murphsboro IL, Cort (and Molly) Creviston, Lenexa, KS, Wally Creviston, Hailey, ID, and Adam (and Nikki) Hostetter, Coalinga, CA, and five great grandchildren.
