Robert Parmenter, 87 passed away on November 9 after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Bob was born and raised in Omaha NE. As a young boy, he delivered newspapers for the Omaha World Herald. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1955 and went on to enlist in the US Army and served for 30 years, rising to the rank of Sargent Major. He worked for the Army Security Agency, INSCOM and served in Germany, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hawaii and Arlington, VA. He continued to work for the Federal Government for another 17 years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph & Opal Parmenter and his brother, Ralph Eugene Parmenter.
He is survived by his wife Joan (nee Kirkpatrick) and two daughters, Ann Ruby and Susan Redmond, two sons-in-law James Ruby and John Redmond, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023
