Robert L. Kirkland Jr.
Bob passed away January 18, 2014 after a long illness. Bob was born June 3, 1951 in Memphis, TN. He attended Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, AR on a golf scholarship. He moved to Kansas City in 1974, and worked as an assistant golf pro at Mission Hill Country Club. In 1984, he went to work for his father at Nitrogen Air Pressure Company, Inc., and in 1995, he purchased the company, retiring in 2010.
Bob had two loves, golf and family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his sister, Kim, and his father, R.L. Kirkland. He is survived by his mother, Lila, his wife of 39 years, Nancy, daughter Amy, son Rob (wife Tanya), daughter Kelsey (husband Mike), grandchildren Robby, Jake, Cassidy, Rylee, and Coby, and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
In lieu of flowers, it is Bob's wish that donations be given to The Junior Golf Foundation in care of the KCGA.
