Robert Joseph Kemp, 86, of Overland Park, passed away on September 24, 2015 in Olathe, Kan. He was born on September 16, 1929 to John and Mary Kemp in Martin, SD. Robert joined the Navy in 1951 and served during the Korean War. After the war he married Rhea Sesler in 1957. Robert worked as a Clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad for 32 years before retiring. He was a lifetime resident of Omaha, NE.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Rhea; son Robert "Steve" (Julie Powers) Kemp; daughter Keri Kemp; sister Katherine Vomacka; grandchildren Kristin (Sean Moore) Kemp, Abigail Lueders, Tristan Powers; great grandchildren Zachary Kemp, Logan Kemp, and Shaylen Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary; and his siblings John, Irene, Kenneth, Donald, Daniel, and Raymond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of your choice.
