Robert L. (Bob) Johnson Jr., 89 of Hume, MO, formerly of Kansas City, died October 1st, 2017.
Bob was born February 11, 1928 in Kansas City, MO. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.
He married Catherine Sturm in 1955 and they remained together until her death in 2012. Bob retired from John Deere Company in 1982. Upon retirement he relocated to Hume, MO where he pursued a lifelong passion for farming. He remained on his farm until shortly before his death.
In addition to his wife, he was proceeded in death by his daughter Therese.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Donna), Bruce (Jackie), Paul, Noel, Amy Rogge (Dustin), Donna Barnett, Joseph and Windy Register, 18 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.
Per his wishes there will not be a formal service. Open house gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 601 E. 117th Terrace, KCMO, on Sunday, October 22nd, 3:00 - 7:00 pm. All are welcome. Kindly omit flowers.
