Robert Benny Jenkins

Robert Benny Jenkins was born in 1923 and died November 8, 2016, at Olathe Medical Center from a heart attack at age 93.

He was married for 67 years to his late wife, Anna Mae "Sue" Jenkins and had three children Jackie & Dan Jenkins and Joi Brooks, all of the area. Also, three grandchildren Jordan and Jackson Brooks and Evan Jenkins.

Bob was a World War II Veteran, a K-State graduate, a wildlife photographer and a commercial and instrument rated pilot. He was an Angel Flight pilot where he flew patients and their families to Mayo Clinic or MD Anderson Hospitals. He was named Volunteer of the Year when he flew more missions than any other pilot from the Kansas City area. Bob was a mechanical engineer and retired from Broderson Manufacturing Company.

Bob and Sue traveled all over the world to every continent except Asia. He said many times he had a good life, a good wife, and a good family. They were long time members of the Overland Park Christian Church.
