Robert "Bob" Essmyer
Bob Essmyer 80, of Olathe, KS, passed away December 7, 2014.
Robert Perry Essmyer was born December 5, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. His father John Alonzo Essmyer was with Monsanto in St. Louis, Mo and his mother Sara Lenora Black Essmyer was a homemaker.
Bob met his beloved wife Martha "Selma" McCrary and was married in St. Louis, Mo. August 30, 1958. They were blessed with two children a daughter Sally and son Paul.
Sally lives in Rancho Mirage, CA and Paul lives in Overland Park, KS and has three children, a son Reid William, daughter Mary Margaret, and another son William David.
Bob was a Marine Corporal who fought in the Korean War. Bob was an American Legion Member, Korean War Veterans Association member and past Lions Club President.
While living in Hutchinson, KS from 1969–1989 Bob held sales positions with Kellogg Cereals and Carey Salt. Bob was a member of the Colonial Presbyterian Church / Quivira Campus. Bob was in sales his working career.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include daughter of Rancho Mirage, CA, and son and family of Overland Park, Ks.
