Robert "Ted" Englert, 75 Of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Ted was born on February 15, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri to Edward L. and Annetta Jean (Hochstatter) Englert.

Ted graduated high school in 1967 from St. Joseph Academy, Chillicothe, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and then graduated from The University of Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Later, Ted was a graphic designer with Honeywell for more than 30 years. His hobbies included: bicycling, billiards, travel and happy hour with family and friends. Ted was known for his witty humor, infectious smile and loyalty to others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sonny Englert and sister-in-law Debbie Englert.

Ted is survived by his wife Kathy Englert, his son Garrett Englert and wife Allison of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughter Shannon Hofer and husband Jason of Omaha, Nebraska and four grandchildren: Jackson, Roman, Cora, and Ella. Also, 3 brothers Terry Englert of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mark Englert of Chillicothe, Missouri and Greg Englert and wife Sue of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 3-4 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas. A private family service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, Ted's favorite charities are The Parkinson's Foundation and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
