Robert Francis Louis Biga, passed away in his loving daughters arms on Monday, April 21, 2014 in his home in Olathe, KS at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bob was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1938 to Stanley and Anna Biga. He graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1956. After serving in the army stationed in Germany, he returned to Pennsylvania and married the love of his life Carol Ann (Karasinski) on September 28, 1963. After they were married, Bob worked for Uniroyal in Passaic, New Jersey and would later transfer to Maryville, Missouri in 1973 to open a plant there until 1981 when the plant closed. Bob was the owner of the Maryville Pub where he made an impact on many staff and students at NWMSU. He retired in 2005 and made Olathe, Kansas his home.
Bob was a devoted husband and partner, a loving father to his girls, the "best oh yes" Papa to his grandchildren and shared his zest for life to all he met. Bob is survived by his daughters Kimberly (Thomas) Ricker and Janine (Marc) Brungardt, his five grandchildren Brian, Collin and Mackenzie Ricker and Chase and Brady Brungardt, his sisters Eleanor Androsky and Carol Boney along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Karasinski) Biga, his parents Stanley and Anna Biga, his brothers Gerald and Richard Biga and sister Dorothy Oliver.
