Richard W. Urish, 91, of Olathe, KS (formerly of Topeka) passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018. A graveside service and inurnment will be 11:00 am Monday, August 27, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery with lunch to follow at First Congregational Church.
Richard was born January 2, 1927 in Scranton, KS, the son of William and Florence Urish. Richard graduated from Scranton High School in 1948 and was a Sgt. 1st Class in the National Guard 137th Infantry. He worked 33 years for Vic Yarrington Oldsmobile before retiring in 1989. He married Anita Nelson in Osage City, KS on June 18, 1950. She preceded him in death August 29, 2016. Richard was a member of First Congregational Church and Albert Neese Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his four daughters; Mary Ahrens, Donna Davisson (Stan), Sandy Urish, and Linda Grimes; seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Hospice House of Olathe Medical Park, 15310 S. Marion St., Olathe, KS 66061 or First Congregational Church, 1701 SW Collins, Topeka, KS 66604.
