Richard Snyder, 87, of Olathe, went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2024 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 9, 1936 to Harlan and Thelma (Waltz) Snyder at Auburn , NE.
Richard worked as a Director for GE, previously known as Harmon Industries in Grain Valley, MO.
On December 22, 1984, he married Laurie Snyder (Barnes). Richard and Laurie lived in Olathe, Kansas with their two children, Dimitri and Savannah Snyder.
Richard is survived by his loving Wife, Laurie, son, Dimitri and Savannah of the home. Daughters Jeanne Snyder, of Stillwater OK, Lori Callison (Craig), of Albuquerque NM, grandchildren Cris Spencer (Tasha), Kashion Livsey(Chris), Cheyenne Poynor(Michael), five great grandchildren, brother Kenneth Snyder (Jo), Sister in laws, Georgia Snyder, Judy Bland, Patty Colvin(Jeff), Debbie Henderson (Ray), Sharon Stiles (Adam), Jenny Overman(Rodney). Dick is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews and was so loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thelma and Harlan Snyder, brother Roger G. Snyder, mother-in-law Lou Ellen Scroggins and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Visitation will be held at Lenexa Baptist Church 15320 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219 at 11 am Saturday, May 4th, 2024, followed by the memorial service at 12 noon. Officiating by Pastor Chad McDonald and Chaplin Paul Garrison of Advance Hospice.
