RICHARD "RICK" W. McADAMS, 63, of Mission, KS, passed away July 23, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Rick was born on January 14, 1953 in Wichita, KS, the son of William and Maxine McAdams, both of whom preceded him in death.
Rick was a graduate of Belle Carter High School, and went on to attend Newman University in Wichita, KS, as well as the Vernon Beauty Academy.
He enjoyed his career as a hairdresser, and then eventually became a Director/counselor of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Center in Wichita, KS. Rick also served as an interpreter for the University of Kansas Medical Center, Freelance Interpreting, the Jewish Vocational Services, and was most recently employed with Sorenson Community Interpreting Services.
Rick enjoyed participating in the Renaissance Fair and the Heartland Men's Chorus.
Surviving family include his sisters Nancy (McAdams) and Tom Szabo, Judy (McAdams) Swisher, many nieces, nephews and cherished friend, Tom Sinclair.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House or the Heartland Men's Chorus.
