Richard Allen Leach, 67, Olathe, KS died on March 25, 2013 following a long struggle with cancer.
Allen was born in St. Joseph, MO on January 14, 1946 to Lottie and Wayne "Chick" Leach who preceded him in death. He grew up in Cameron, MO with his younger sister Glenda Leach Martin (Dan), of Liberty, MO. He attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville prior to moving to Kansas City where he met and married his wife Nancy of 45 years. They have two children, Alison Leach (Rob Sutton and son Logan) and Megan Leach Sloan (Kevin), both of Olathe, and two granddaughters, Maeve and Ailish Sloan.
Allen worked nationwide in the truck leasing and tax consulting businesses. The family resided in Kansas City North, St. Louis County, and Parkville, MO prior to moving to Olathe. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 30 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe, with funeral services at 11:00 AM.
