Richard F "Dick" DuPrey Sr, 74, Olathe, passed away October 25, 2016 at the home.
Dick was born in Glens Falls, NY on October 14, 1942 to Kenneth DuPrey Sr and Alfreda May (Maynard) Bigelow . He served in the US Navy on the USS Wasp (Boston, MA) from 1959 to 1963. He married Carol J (Cole) DuPrey on February 28, 1964. She survives of the home.
Dick was preceded in death by both of his parents, stepfather, John Bigelow, and brother, Kenneth DuPrey Jr.
He is survived by his children, Kevin R DuPrey, Pottersville, NY, Richard F DuPrey Jr, Paola, KS and Robyn M Sidwell, Gardner, KS, 3 granddaughters: Dacia Allen (Kalob), Jessica Shrum (Aaron) and Emily Sidwell and 2 great granddaughters Khloe and Kennedy Allen in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Sally Emerson (Tom) Garnett KS and brothers Harry DuPrey, Garnett KS, Don DuPrey Sr (Gloria) Queensbury NY.
Dick was an active member of the American Legion 153 (Olathe, KS), Overland Park Masonic Lodge and the Abdallah Shrine.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dick's name to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
