Richard J. Dixon, 80, Olathe, KS passed away Nov. 22, 2006. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Richard was born February 20, 1926 in Syracuse, NY to William and Rose Dixon, one of nine children. He was a United States Marine Corp and Air Force veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, retiring in 1961. Following his retirement he spent 39 years in Rantoul, Illinois before moving to Olathe, KS in 2000.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Marie Dixon, (3)sons; Dennis & wife Diane of Chesapeake, VA, Glen & wife Sher of St. Joseph, Ill., and Brian & wife Diane of Napa, CA, (2)daughters; Teresa & husband Gordie Carter of Dixon, CA, and Sandy Miller of Olathe, KS., (7)grandchildren; Kenneth Dixon, Dustin Dixon Sjuts, Melanie Dixon, Maegan Miller, Coy & Brady DePratt, and Dalton Dixon, (2) great grandchildren; Zachary & Christian Dixon.
