RICHARD "DICK" CORK
Age 68, passed away January 6, 2009 in Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E Sheridan, Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to your local Hospice, or to the American Cancer Society.
Dick was born June 2, 1940 in St. Paul, MN, the child of Willis and Ruth Cork. He served our country in the US Army serving for a period of four years in Okinawa and Taiwan. He married Elena Polo on March 15, 1980, in Crosby, TX.
Dick was a technician and manager for various telecommunications companies throughout his career, and was most recently employed with Embarq. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, and watching classic movies.
He is survived by his wife, Elena, his son Edward Cork, his brothers Larry, Douglas, Randy, and his sisters Darlene, Sandy, and Kathy.
He was a kind, wonderful and loving man, who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
