RICHARD LEE BANKS
Age 79, passed away February 10, 2008 in Shawnee Mission, KS. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd, Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the church.
Richard was born April 2, 1928 in Effingham, KS to John and Minnie Banks. He served our country in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War, and retired from Sealright Manufacturing Company after 40 years of service.
In his retirement, he enjoyed raising cattle and working on his farm in Osawatomie.
He is survived by his sister, Lucille Kemp, brother Bernard Banks, and his twin sister, Theresa Useldinger. Also survived by his step-daughter, Barbara Barnard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
