Reverend Robert Weathers

Reverend Robert Weathers, pastor, went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2009. He was born October 26, 1916 in Elkhorn Township, Iowa, to Eugene and Lou Tida Weathers. He married Dorothy Mae Woodward on January 20, 1939.
After ministerial preparation, Bob and Dorothy accepted God's call on their lives and spent 45 years serving as pastors of Nazarene churches in Iowa, Oklahoma, Illinois, Texas and Missouri. Every pastoral assignment was a joy to the Weathers because of the wonderful people they had the privilege of ministering to and pastoring. Their one desire during retirement years would have been to start all over again to pastor a church.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann Campbell and husband, Don of Olathe, KS; son, Hardy Weathers and wife Lucille, of Olathe; and son Danny Weathers of Key West, Florida; four grandchildren; Shelly Doane (Mark), Amy Friesland (Neil), Jonathan Weathers (Krystal), Christy Cooke (Richard); eight great-grandchildren; Emily, Jeremiah, Eric, James, Lauren, Jenae, Audrrey and Amma.
In honoring Reverend Weathers memory and in continuing his legacy of pastoral ministry, the family suggests memorials to the Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene, 8200 King Rd., Spring Arbor, MI 49283, where his grandson, Rev. Jonathan Weathers, is pastoring.
