REVEREND CLOYCE C. CUNNINGHAM

Cloyce C. Cunningham, 79, went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2007, in Olathe, KS. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the College Church of the Nazarene, Garrett Chapel, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment in Wenatchee , WA, at a later date. Cloyce was born October 18, 1927, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to Cloyce, Sr, and Cora (Borton) Cunningham. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1946. He served in the United States Army 1946-47. He attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA, receiving an AB in Theology degree in 1951 and ThB degree in 1954. He also attended Nazarene Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO, 1957-58. Cloyce married Elaine Parsons July 28, 1951, in Quincy, MA. He served as a minister in Churches of the Nazarene in New England, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Indiana, and Washington State for 40 years, retiring in 1990 in Wenatchee, Washington. The Cunninghams moved to Olathe, KS, in 2003 to live with their son and his wife.

Survivors are his wife, Elaine Cunningham, son, John Cunningham (Sandy), Olathe, KS, daughter, Ruth Leslie (Ian), Wenatchee, WA, sister, Jean Pekar, Copley, Ohio, three grandchildren, Sara Falk, Jessica Cunningham, Jeffrey Smith, three step-grandchildren, Glen Leslie, Shauna Enos, and Kara Bash, seven step-great grandchildren, one step-great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, a brother, Edwin Cunningham, two sisters, Ruth Donizetti and Beatrice Seeds, preceded him in death.
