Reverend David A. James, 79, Olathe, KS (formerly of Goodland, Kansas) passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 in Olathe, KS. The family suggests contributions to Heart to Heart International, Olathe, KS.
David was born June 27, 1929 to Thomas & Permilia James in Rocky Ford, Co. He served in the U.S. Army in Munich, Germany during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Colorado Springs Bible College in 1957, and later married Gladys Henry in 1961 (who preceded him in death in 1990). They lived in Colorado Springs, Co and raised two sons. He later pastored in South Dakota and Goodland, Kansas, before retiring in Olathe, KS. He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene.
He was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
David is survived by sons; Darrell James of North Kansas City, MO and Merlin (Stephanie) James of Olathe, KS, his fiance` Myrna Van Ostrand, and two grandchildren Spencer and Kristen James.
