Renee Terese (Hilton) Barnes passed away peacefully Jan. 3, 2016. She was born Oct. 22, 1958 to David and June Krehbiel Hilton in Kansas City, Kansas. She lived most of her life in Olathe, Kansas. She married Brent Barnes March 26, 1986. From that union was made three beautiful children – Brandon of Lakewood, Co., Rachel and Amber Barnes of Olathe, Kansas. Renee was the quintessential home maker – not so much a Betty Crocker, but more of a Barefoot Contessa! She was caring and loving. She had many friends whom she graciously touched over the years. She will always be loved and never forgotten. She is preceeded in death by her brother Mark David Hilton, grandparents George and Corinne Hilton and Daniel and Ella Krehbiel. She is survived by her husband, children, her parents, and sister Cheryl Hilton Stine, (David), and three nieces Lindsey, Samantha and Hannah. In lieu of flowers, the family respectively requests donations to Olathe Hospice. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 am, on Friday, January 8, 2016, at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS. The memorial service will follow at 10:00 am.
