Rebecca Vickers

Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Vickers was born August 8, 1970 in Overland Park, Kansas. She was a joyful child who lit up every room with her bright smile. Becky was drawn to music as a baby, and it was the rhythm of her entire life. She loved to sit at her piano, playing and singing all of her favorite songs; especially hymns. Becky devoted her life to serving God and was a lifelong member of Overland Park Church of Christ. She enjoyed teaching children and later helping run the church library. She loved everything about the 1980s and could answer obscure 80s trivia. Becky attended Oklahoma Christian and received a bachelor degree in business in 1992 and made a career of working within the insurance industry; most recently with Zurich Insurance for the past 20 years. She loved her work and was a dedicated member of her work team. Becky adored her four nephews and one niece. She doted on them in ways special to each individually. Her unique, personalized gifts will be sorely missed by all of the family.

Becky is survived by her parents, Jim and Shirley Vickers, her two brothers, Michael and Mark (Devon), her four nephews and one niece: Ethan, Jonah, Cassie, Conrey, and Keaton all of Olathe. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her four grandparents: Charles and Mollie Vickers and Bill and Vera Bonebrake.

A memorial service is planned for May 12th at 2:00pm at Overland Park Church of Christ (13400 W 119th St, Overland Park, KS 66213).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Becky's name to Christian Family Services.
