RAYMOND "RAY" L. NELSON, JR., passed away March 3, 2011 in Overbook, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th, Ste 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
Ray was born November 11, 1934, St. Joseph, MO, to Raymond, Sr. and Goldie (Thomas) Nelson. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and was married to Shirley Brinegar upon returning home.
He was employed with American Walnut from 1978 until his retirement in 2006.
Surviving are his son Blake( Beth) Nelson and Daughter, Nancy ( Jeff) Martin, grandchildren Nathan Cain, Justin Cain, Jacob Nelson, Travis Nelson and Stephanie Nelson, and great-grand-daughter Aubree Cain. He is also survived by his sisters Anita Papisan, Barbara Flanagan, and Connie Nelson, and his brother, Thomas Nelson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, in 2006.
