Ralph Anthony Fasching, 77, of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday April 11, 2010 at Olathe Medical Center. Private interment to follow services.
Ralph was born October 14, 1932 to Joseph and Mary Fasching in Lenexa, KS. He graduated in 1950 from John P. St. John (Olathe) High School. He worked as a salesman for Richard Conover Hardware in Kansas City, MO from June 1950 until he was drafted into the Army on Feb. 1, 1953 and served in Korea until Feb 1, 1955. He retired in 1998 as co-owner of Fasching Brothers Concrete. Ralph was a life member of the American Legion Post 153, serving on the Funeral Detail for over 15 years and also as Post Commander. Ralph also loved to play golf and Fish.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Fasching and his son John Anthony Fasching.
Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia, of over 52 years; his daughters Suzan Fasching Lowe (Bill) Olathe, KS; Karen Sledge (Tony Gardner) of Chesapeake, VA; and grandchildren Brittany Sturtz, Christopher Sledge and Zachary Sledge; brothers Wilfred "Cocky", James (Deanna), Carl, and Francis (Brenda).
