Mid America Nazarene Student Quincy Lynn Foster, a writer of songs, a hiker of mountains, a mission's trip taker and a lover of life died January 1, 2015. She lived an active life, full of depth up until the moment she passed from the earthly to the heavenly dimension.
She was born in Tulsa, OK on July 16, 1994. Her family moved in 1996 to Scottsdale, AZ where she lived until age 18 playing soccer, helping Dad and Mom start churches, singing in choirs and playing with her brothers. She graduated from Pinnacle High School before making the big journey to M.N.U. and college life in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Palmer, her aunt Trudy Plummer/Foster, and her two cousins, Ryan Terry Hooker and Kelsi Renee Foster.
She is survived by her parents, Jonathan and Johnna; her brothers Shay and Evan Foster of Olathe, KS; her grandparents, A.D. and Joyce Foster of Kansas City, MO; grandmother, Belva Palmer of Independence, KS and a loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Quincy had an authentic relationship with her Heavenly Father and loved her time at M.N.U. She caused people to laugh, dance, smile, love, move on, forgive, try again, sing and worship. As of her passing, she's caused people to weep.
Quincy planned to spend her life giving to others by either being a nurse, a missionary or both. She loved missions trips because she loved people and loved God. Haiti held a special place in her heart and she was looking forward to the Nursing/Guatemala trip with immense anticipation. The Quincy Foster Memorial Fund has been established to help fund the efforts of future nurses and students to take similar trips. This fund will help accomplish Quincy's life-long goal of serving. https://connect.mnu.edu/give (when selecting designation choose "other" and write Quincy's name in).
Quincy will be missed desperately by her family and friends. She was the kind of young lady that anyone would be proud to call daughter, sister, family member or friend. Her visitation gathering will be held Monday, January 5th from 6-8PM and her funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 6th at 10:30AM, both at College Church of the Nazarene.
