In Loving Memory of Philip A. Neal III
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Philip A. Neal III, age 41, of Huntington Beach, CA, on March 28, 2025. Born on September 2, 1983, in Columbus, OH, Phil spent his childhood in Naperville, IL, and Overland Park, KS, where he graduated from Blue Valley West High School in 2002. He went on to attend Kansas State University, was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity & graduated with honors with degrees in Finance & a Master’s in Accounting.
Phil built an exceptional career in the world of finance, excelling in every role he took on. For the past seven years, he was a cornerstone of White Oak Global Advisors, serving most recently as a Managing Director in their Asset-Based Lending practice. A brilliant and dedicated professional, he was admired not only for his sharp mind but also for his leadership, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Phil was the perfect mix of quick wit, intelligence and was effortlessly fun. He had a deep appreciation for life’s experiences—traveling, finding the best restaurants, and making every moment count. Living in California was his paradise, where he could surf in the morning and snowboard in the evening. He was always up for an adventure, whether it was fishing, golfing, playing soccer, or taking long walks with his beloved dog, Cooper.
Phil’s passing leaves an unimaginable void in the hearts of those who loved him. He is deeply missed by his parents, J. Neal, Philip Neal Jr. and Joan Neal; his sisters, Shannon Neal and Stephanie (Neal) Bulcock; his brother-in-law, Joshua Bulcock; his adored niece and nephew, Chloe and Grayson Bulcock; his loving girlfriend, Serena Ta; and his loyal companion, Cooper.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Tall Trellis Brew Co. (25600 W Valley Pkwy, Olathe, KS 66061) on Friday, April 4, from 4-6 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Phil’s extraordinary life, sharing stories and memories of the incredible person he was.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial for Philip A. Neal III has been established at the Kansas State University Foundation.
