Peyton Shea Farley

Peyton Shea Farley, 17 incredible years, of Lenexa, Kansas, died in a tragic car accident Friday October 28. An open reception is planned for Friday November 4th from 5-8PM at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, Kansas. From the time Peyton was little she acted like a magnet, attracting friends from various backgrounds and interests with her sense of humor and infectious laugh. Weekends at the Lake playing on the water and other times sitting on top of unpredictable horses without a saddle, helped her develop a "No Fear" attitude! She would jump into a mud pit for laughs or jump on her horse Mint de Gear (Gear) for solitude or a full speed run. She trained with and had many horse loving friends in the area. Peyton attended Olathe Public Schools and was a participant in the SOAR Program. A Dodge truck "Becky" was a high mileage project Peyton wouldn't let go of, so she joined the Valvoline crew as a way to pay bills and gain some tech knowledge. After rescuing Clifford, (a big goofy yellow lab) he was never far from her side. She was so much an animal lover! Bonfires, friends, fun, laughter and music, all combined made Peyton Shea a unique cog in her tightly wound group of friends and family. Peyton's dream was to open an equestrian center focusing on helping disabled children discover the joy and benefits of horses. Caring and generous Peyton Shea was an organ donor, providing life and possibilities to others whom she never met. To say she'll be missed is a huge understatement-she was loved so deeply by so many.

Peyton is survived by her mom, Hallie Anderson and dad, Kevin Farley, sister Ashley Farley and brother Dylan Whitlow. Grandparents John and Betty Anderson (*preceded by Grandma Katie Farley & Grandpa T.A.). Relatives include Aunts-Patti Sullivan, Kathy Engstrom (Mike), Uncles Tom "Duke" Farley, Mark Anderson (Kathy), Chuck Anderson, Gary Anderson and Greg Anderson and several cousins and her very important bunch of friends!
