Pete Richard Haney, 81, of Olathe, passed away on February 13, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center.
He was born on May 31, 1940 to James and Mabel (Juul) Haney in Kansas City, MO.
Pete served our country in the US Army from 1958 to 1962, and eventually became the owner/operator
of his own contract painting business.
He enjoyed golfing with his sons, fishing and old westerns.
Pete is survived by his children, son Scott and wife Donna Haney of Lincoln, NE, daughter Debbie Rall
and husband Toby of Olathe, KS, son Michael and wife Theresa Haney of Olathe, KS, son Eric Haney of Gardner, KS, son Jeffrey Haney of Edgerton, KS, daughter Monica Haney and partner Mark Jones of Gardner, KS, daughter Kim Henderson and husband Mark of Kansas City MO, daughter Veronica Hofmann of Independence, MO and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as sister Dorothy Reese of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and his wife, Vicki Haney, in 2020.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb 21, 2022 at 2:00pm. Reception will follow from 3 to 6 at Warren Venue Event at 126 Warren St of Gardner, KS 66030.
