Bristow, Margaret "Peggy" Mary (née Stachowiak) of Olathe, KS, was a devoted wife and nurturing mother who spent her life supporting her husband, raising their children, and discreetly helping those in need in her community. She unexpectedly entered her final rest on September 11, 2020.
She is survived by her cherished husband of fifty years, John Bristow; her two children, Stacey and David Bristow; her sister, Denise Drumsta; and other relatives and close friends.
Peggy was born in Lackawanna, NY, raised in Hamburg, NY, and earned a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Findlay in Ohio. She married John Bristow in April of 1970, a marriage that would span the globe, before settling in Olathe. She bore two children and spent their formative years as a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. She later spent time professionally in retail and special needs education and, in her retirement, volunteered tirelessly as an ambassador at the Olathe Medical Center. She was a tiny package with more strength of character, more wisdom, and more humility and modesty than anyone we ever met on this planet, and it is a more daunting place without her.
In the spirit of that modesty, no service will be held in her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Olathe Health Charitable Foundation, OMC Ambassadors, in memory of Peggy Bristow at 20375 W. 151st St., Olathe, KS 66061.
