Paul Gilbert Kaus, 87, of Overland Park, passed away on December 29, 2019 at Senior Cares Homes-Nantucket House.
He was born on January 31, 1932 to Gilbert and Bernice (Smalldridge) Kaus in Winnebago, MN.
Paul grew up in Minnesota, attended Winnebago High school, then went on to Gustavus Adolphus in Saint Peter, MN. Paul was gifted in many areas…he was in choir, band, theatre, and every sport that included a ball or a puck. After graduation, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. After his time in the service he met and married his precious wife, Elaine (Rozeboom) Kaus on June 20th, 1959.
Paul was a wonderful husband and excellent provider for his wife and two children. His career consisted of Sales, Stock broker, Investment banker and Vice President of Sales- ERA Real Estate. In his retirement, he drove cars for Enterprise Rental. He had a successful career and earned much praise. However, his beloved wife Elaine is who he cherished more than any accolades. Paul was a tremendous father who lead his children to Christ. He enjoyed socializing, attending Bible Studies, reading and enjoying a good laugh. He never met a stranger and was everyone's best friend.
Paul is survived by his Sister, Marjorie Jenkins; Son, Phil Kaus; Daughter, Pamela (Kaus) Kim; Son-In Law, Jon Kim; Grandsons, Joseph and Noah Kim and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Bernice Kaus; Wife, Elaine (Rozeboom) Kaus; Brothers-In-Law Roy Jenkins and Paul Buys; and Sister-In-Law, Betty Buys.
The family will receive guests at 9:30AM on Thursday, January 2, 2020 with funeral service to follow at 10AM at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Redeemer Presbyterian, 9333 W. 159th St. Overland Park , KS 66221.
