Patricia J. Schwening

Patricia Joann Schwening, 80, of Olathe, KS died December 6, 2016. She was born September 14, 1936 in McCracken, KS, the daughter of Joe and Belva Warta. She grew up in Ellis, KS where she graduated and went to Emporia State College to get her degree in education. She taught for a short period in Wakeeney, KS.

On February 14, 1957 she married William (Bill) F. Schwening Jr. Bill along with her older sister and brother-in-law, Uberta and Harold proceeded her in death. She and Bill traveled and moved often as Bill was in the Air Force. After Bill's passing she was a stenographer for a doctor in Fremont, NE. She then enjoyed traveling with her surviving younger sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Chuck Zernickow as well as with her children. She loved quilting, was an avid reader and loved everything about God's creation.

She is also survived by her son, William F. Schwening; son and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Jodie Schwening; and daughter, Katrine Schwening; Grandchildren: William J. Schwening, Jessica (Matt) Busman, Kristin Schwening, Patricia Joy (Dean) Woodward, Jordan J. Schwening, Alyson (Tom) Douglas, Laci Moore and Natalia Schwening; Great-grandchild: Asher Busman.
