Patricia (Patty) Elaine Hansberger (Hammontree), 56, of Louisburg, KS, passed away March 29th, 2015, in hospice care after a 6 year battle with cancer. Patty was born December 20, 1958, to Robert C. Hammontree and Marlene G. (Kolman) Hammontree of Kansas City, KS, both deceased.
When Patty was 16 years old, she was hired to work at the J. C. Penny's Credit Card Center. After graduating from Turner High School in 1976, she began working at the J. C. Penney's Distribution Center. In total, Patty work at Penney's a total of 38 years.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy C. Hansberger, of Louisburg, KS, son, Ian Hansberger, daughter-in-law, Amanda, unborn granddaughter, Faith Ann, of Albany, NY, her brother, Michael N. Hammontree, sister-in-law, Katrina Hammontree, niece, Tarah, and nephew, Aaron, of Longmont, CO.
In 1990, Patty and her family began attending the First Baptist Church in Louisburg where she remained active until 2015. Over 225 people attended a celebration of Patty's life at their church in Louisburg a few days before her passing.
